Installation
Windows
- Download the installer (
-setup.exe). The.msiis for managed or silent installs. - Check that the SHA-256 matches the one shown here: in PowerShell,
Get-FileHash .\Plexify_…_x64-setup.exe. - Run it. If Windows SmartScreen says it "protected your PC", choose More info → Run anyway: the installer is not yet signed with a paid code-signing certificate. Updates are cryptographically signed and verified by the app before they install.
- Plexify needs Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) with WebView2, which Windows 11 already includes. The installer adds it on Windows 10 if missing.
Android
- Open this page on your phone and download the
.apk. - Open the downloaded file. Android asks you to allow installs from your browser or file manager the first time: turn on Allow from this source, then go back.
- Tap Install. Updates install over the existing app and keep your sign-in and downloads.
- Plexify needs Android 8.0 or newer on a 64-bit ARM phone (nearly every phone since 2017).
Every Plexify APK is signed with the same key. Android refuses an update signed by anyone else, so a tampered APK cannot replace the app you have. The checksum lets you confirm the download itself is intact. Raw release index.
Updating
Plexify checks for updates at most once a day, and you can check any time under Settings → About & updates. On Windows, choose Install now and the app restarts on the new version. On Android, the app downloads and verifies the APK, then opens Android's installer for you to confirm.
